The rules are quite simple really; it starts off with me saying something that happened, then the next person to post says something unfortunate that happened, then the next person to post after that says something fortunate that happened. The subject often switches around too.

Example:
Post 1: Bob got free tickets to go to Hawaii.
Post 2: Unfortunately, they expired two days ago.
Post 3: Fortunately, he persuaded the airline staff to let him board the plane.
Post 4: Unfortunately, the plane crashed in the middle of the sea.
Post 5: Fortunately, there was a deserted island nearby.

And so on...

Get it? Okay. I'll start.

Fortunately, Jonny had a doctor's note so that he would be excused.

Unfortunately, he totally forgot the note at home and thought it was in his bag.

Fortunately His mom came to the school and dropped off the doctors note

Unfortunately, the note was dated for three days prior.

Fortunately his mom just took him out of school

Unfortunately, she had just caught a cold.

Fortunately The kid left school anyways and made it all the way home

Unfortunately, he left without knowing what any of his homework was.

Fortunately, it was a no homework day

Unfortunately, he too had soon caught a cold when he planned to go outside.

fortunately he had a PS3 to play at home

unfortunatly his mom took the power cables to his ps3.

Fortunately he had a hidden set. So he played his PS3

Unfortunately, a rat came in and chewed up the hidden set of wires.

Fortunately the rat poison killed them before getting through top layer of cords.

Unfortunately it's babys finished the job
