Actually I've come to learn that a weapon becomes available the moment you have all the materials you need for it. you don't need the magazine. it is only there to tell you what you need to gather for whatever weapon. no cheating needed.

It is possible to get the Lionheart in disc 1. All I know is that it would take a lot of fighting and card modding to get the stuff you need for it.

Oh really? Hm, that's an interesting tid-bit. I think I might try it out...although I think I'm going to have my characters stick to their first weapon.
